London Evening Standard will be holding a debate on London’s aviation capacity crisis on Wednesday 27th June with some leading speakers.

Hosted by broadcaster and journalist Jon Sopel, the debate will cover the key issues affecting Londoners - from a third runway at Heathrow to the possibility of building a new £50 billion island airport in the Thames Estuary.

These issues and more will be battled out by a host of speakers fromdifferent sides of the fence. Willie Walsh, owner of British Airways and Daniel Moylan, the Mayor’s key advisor on aviation, arejust two of the voices taking part at the Emmanuel Centre in central London. They will be joined by writer Alain de Botton, CBI Chief Policy Director Katja Hall and environmental campaigner Tamsin Omond.
