EVENT: Beyond Networking – taking networking to the next level!

LOCATION: Clerkenwell Workshops, Clerkenwell Close, London, EC1R 0AT

DATE AND TIME: August 23 from 18:30 until 20:30

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

When networking which is more important – getting to know the business or getting to know the person behind the business?

It has become accepted wisdom that we do business with people we know, like and trust – but we don’t get to know, like and trust anybody just by talking about business. At networking events the focus of conversation is often about products, services and opportunities – and ‘getting to know the person’ is supposed to just happen over coffee and biscuits.

Beyond Networking is a session that demonstrates how to push the envelope of normal networking banter. By exploring ideas that go beyond business and talking about the things that matter we can get to know the person behind the business card. This is not only more effective networking, it’s also more fun.

Dreamstake's website is http://www.dreamstake.net/; but if you're not already signed-up for Dreamstake, you probably won't get your application processed in time. None of the alternate (e.g. Twitter/Facebook) logins on their site seem to work; and if you use conventional sign-up you have to be approved before you can join, in order to see event details. Seriously unhelpful and bureaucratic!
